Welcome to WaterSense in Forfar
Scotland’s lochs, rivers and seas are world-renowned treasures, with a rich diversity of wildlife. If we want to keep these aquatic environments clean and healthy, we need to be careful what we put into our wastewater at home. The WaterSense campaign aims to help people make choices that minimise their impact on the water environment.
WaterSense in Forfar is focusing on Forfar Loch. Phosphates from household detergents are causing algal blooms in summer, which are suffocating the loch. So we are calling on people in Forfar to choose phosphate-free products.
